I was born and raised on Hilton Head Island. At the age of sixteen, my first job was at a hand-painted clothing store which filled orders from catalogs such as Newport News and Chadwick's. Four years later, I moved to San Francisco.
The first public display of my artwork was at the Barnes and Noble bookstore on Union Square. I was involved in the music scene and developed a passion for the design of musical instruments, especially the guitar.
In 2013 and 2014, I sold 2 paintings to Immaculate Baking, a subdivision of General Mills. The paintings reside in their Folk Art Museum and my art was used on the packaging for two of their products, one seasonal and one in their current line.
My work is also included in numerous private collections across the US. Jazz pianist Martin Lesch’s cover art for his ‘Journey Through Jazz’ cd is my painting “Piano Man”.
I live on Hilton Head Island, where my art is inspired by the music of my friends, memories of all the great shows I have been fortunate to attend, the great musicians I've had the pleasure of meeting, The Fillmore, music stores, instruments, songs, song titles, the music I grew up on, the music that makes me tick, and a little "island life".
